Eric Bays is a Chicago-born actor, improviser, and screenwriter with over a decade of experience in theater and film. A graduate of The Second City Conservatory, Eric has built a career rooted in character-driven storytelling — whether he’s performing live on stage or crafting it on the page.

As an Artistic Associate at CIC Theater, he’s performed in hundreds of improv shows across three different teams. He’s also been a regular presence at the Oil Lamp Theater in Glenview, appearing in nine productions since 2007. On screen, Eric recently starred in the cult horror-comedy Bride of the Killer Pinata (streaming on Amazon and Tubi) and appeared in two episodes of Chicago Fire on NBC.

Off-camera, Eric is an accomplished writer of shorts, features, pilots, and web series. His scripts blend comedy, heart, and genre-bending twists. Check out his Writing page to learn more.
